RAW - Thug Love To My G's .mp3
Marco Da Veiga a.k.a. RAW is once again releasing another solid single, and I Rep D League has an exclusive interview.
RAW has been in the studio lately recording his EP, slated for a January/February 2012 release.
The 5 track EP features American artists as well as artists from the UK and Congo (Africa). The production rooster is made up of American, French, South African and Scandinavian producers.
The track "Thug Love to my G's", produced by BJ (US), is a "genuine street tribute to all the real G's".
It's inspired by the 2008 encounter RAW had with some brothers selling books in the street. One of them being a member of the the notorious gang "Bloods", started rappin and after freestyling together in the middle of Penn Station 34th street, NY, he was invited to their home.
RAW accepted the invitation and went to visit them in Newark, New Jersey as mentioned in the song.
"Bloods showing me love,
Newark, New Jersey were you at
Wu banga I got your back
It's like that"
When asked about what he took away from the experience, he said that he he was welcomed and shown love.
"It was a learning experience. I'll never forget it".
RAW makes it clear that this song is dedicated to everyone who is real, stands for something and doesn't give up.
